Wednesday 20th June … Illustrated talk on the Aguila Wrens presented by Portsmouth U3A at Cosham Baptist Church 2pm to 4pm. David Slade, Chairman of the Sussex branch of the Orders and Medals Research Group tells the poignant story of the first contingent of WRNS sent on overseas service in WW2, who were all lost when SS Aguila was sunk, and of the RNLI Lifeboat funded and commissioned in their memory.
