On until Thursday 1st June – Handmade Quilt Raffle in aid of Macmillan Nurses …… Horndean Quilting Group have handcrated a beautiful blue & white sampler quilt for a double bed, which is on display in the window of Thistle Wool Shop in London Road Cowplain. You can buy your raffle tickets for a £1 each in Thistle’s, which is open 9am to 4.30pm every day except Wednesday & Sunday. The draw is on Thursday 1st June in Thistle wool shop and money raised is for Macmillan Nurses. Last year the quilters raised £400 for Macmillans …. They hope, with the help of Angel Radio listeners, to do even better this year.

Warblington and Denvilles Residents’ Association, working with other community organisations connected to the Havant Borough Residents’ Alliance, have a general election hustings debate for the Havant Constituency, which is open to the general public, in the Main Hall at Warblington School from 7.30 to 9pm.
