Free Prostate Cancer Checks in Fareham.

Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer in men. The disease is usually curable with early diagnosis but does not normally have any symptoms in its early stages.

A simple test using a tiny sample of blood taken from the thumb can give an early indication of a problem.

So Gentlemen, get along to Fareham Shopping Centre to have a free test. Rotary Fareham Meon in conjunction with the Prostate Cancer Support Organisation will welcome you to the Life You Want shop (Unit 44 opposite Boots Chemist) from 10am until 3pm. Free tea and coffee will be available.

A talk – ‘Westhampnett at War’ by Mark Hillier.

RAF Westhampnett was a front line station during WWII, in particular during the Battle of Britain, through to providing air support for the D-Day landings in 1944. It was home to French, Canadian, American, Polish, New Zealand & Belgian Squadrons,

RAF Westhampnett resounded to the noise of Hurricanes, Spitfires, Typhoons, Tempests, Mustangs, Barracudas, Avengers, Tigercats & others.

RAF Westhampnett is now Goodwood aerodrome so this talk will be of interest to many local persons, not only those interested in aviation.
